Like most of the pool world, the American Poolplayers Association (APA) was excited about the Mosconi Cup in early December. So much so that they sponsored Team USA members: Skyler Woodward, Justin Bergman, Mike Dechaine and Rodney Morris in the 2016 competition in London. All four players sported the APA logo as they, along with teammate Shane Van Boening, looked to bring the Cup back to U.S. soil for the first time since 2009.
In addition to wearing the APA logo on their team jerseys, all four players participated in a live chat session via Facebook with APA members. The players shared their thoughts on the quest for the Mosconi Cup, what it means to be selected for such a prestigious event and to answer general questions. The 2016 Mosconi Cup took place Dec. 6 -9 at Alexandra Palace in London, England. Team USA held a slight 11-10 advantage in the all-time series which dates back to 1994, with both teams tying in 2006. The Mosconi Cup is produced by Matchroom Sports.
