 Laura Stapp & Ed Balint
Florida APA members Laura Stapp and Ed Balint, both SL3s, studied the Match Information board to find out how they were faring among other competitors. They also were determining when their next match would be called. Stapp, from East Palathka, Fla., and Balint, from Delray Beach, Fla., were both competing in the Blue Tier (SL 2 & 3) of the 8-Ball Classic National Singles Championship.
“It was a lot of fun,” said Balint. “It’s an honor to play out here in Vegas and a privilege to make it so far. There is no other pool experience like this, the competition is great, and the environment is just something everyone should experience.”
Both Stapp and Balint placed 5th in the Blue Tier. “What an experience!” said Stapp, “I’ll be back next year. Definitely!”
