Kern Nargassans from Breaux Bridge, La., became an APA member on Sept. 18, 1990 and played until his passing on Jan. 4, 2010. Kern was born on Aug. 12, 1953 and loved shooting pool. He was a kidney transplant recipient, but loved the game and his fellow poolplayers so much that he wore a face mask to filter smoke in the pool halls. At the time of his passing Kern was shooting on two teams—the Cajun Q’z and the 9-Ball Slammers team. He is loved and missed terribly by all.
