 2009 APA 9-Ball Shootout
The finals of the 9-Ball Shootout were held May 2 with three new champions being crowned.
In the finals of the Green Tier (SL 1-3), Dustin Harwood of Sumner, Wash., defeated Amber Setzer of Mooresville, N.C.
In the finals of the White Tier (SL 4-5), Nicolas Reyna of Lincoln Park, Mich., defeated Joshua Sherman of Rockledge, Fla.
In the finals of the Black Tier (SL 6-9), Kenneth Brisbon of Oxford, Mich., defeated Brandon McGuire of Roaring River, N.C.
Each of the three champions took home a $10,000 prize package, while the Runners-up received a prize package worth $5,000.
This year 250 players competed in the 9-Ball Shootout from a field of more than 2,900 who competed in Regional competition. Thirty-eight states and 1 Canadian province were represented in this year's event.
