Nicholas Lampronikos of Ansonia, Conn., served in the United States Marine Corps from 2009-2013. While serving in the military, Nicholas was a heavy equipment engineer. He served four years active duty and two combat tours in Afghanistan. Nicholas received the Navy and Marine Corp achievement medal for services overseas.

While stationed in Afghanistan, he played pool whenever going to the main base with friends. He was honorably discharged from active duty. Once out of the military, Nicholas excitingly joined the APA on a team of family and friends. He’s been playing for about three years now.

“I joined the APA because I absolutely love playing pool and I already had so many friends and family in the League,” Nicholas said. “My favorite part about playing in the APA is the people. I meet some awesome people from all over!”

He competed in Vegas with his team for the National Team Championships 8-Ball Division in 2013 and 2014. Nicholas is currently a skill level 5 in both 8-Ball and 9-Ball. He’s also a Division Rep for the Connecticut APA operated by Bruce & Ann Barthelette. “I became a Division Rep to become more involved in the League and for the love of the game!” Nicholas said.
