In the finals of the Jack & Jill Championship, Beastmode – Jason Fortun (SL6) and Kim Nguyen (SL4) – of Terrytown, La., was paired against Gruesome Twosome – Sean Higgins (SL5) and Line Thibeault (SL4) – of Lewiston, Maine. Beastmode won the lag, but Gruesome Twosome came back to win the first game. Beastmode got in their game and came back to win the next four games for the championship title! The final score was 4-1. Beastmode went home $5,000 richer, while Gruesome Twosome earned $3,000 for their Runner-Up finish.
Beastmode defeated Team Golden – Maxine Mead (SL3) and George Kruger (SL7) – from Annapolis, Md., in the semifinals to earn their spot in the finals. Gruesome Twosome moved into the finals by defeating Wrecking Balls – Rachel Pasuta (SL4) and Benjie Allen (SL6) – from Etobicoke, ON, in the semifinals.
