The finals of the 8-Ball Doubles Championship on Thursday, May 1 paired Taking Care of Business – AJ Labranche (SL6) and William Brown (SL4) – of Villa Rica, Ga., against Joining Forces – David Wurmbrand (SL6) and Chet Hale (SL4) – of Orange County, Calif. The race was 4-4.
After an exciting match, it was Taking Care of Business sinking the final 8-ball for the title.
Taking Care of Business took home $5,000 for their win, while Joining Forces earned $3,000 as Runners-Up.
