APA is once again proud to sponsor Team USA in this year’s Mosconi Cup. It’s been nearly a decade since Team USA hoisted the Cup in victory. If they’re to do it this year, they’ll have to do it on foreign soil in front of a raucous European crowd. Fortunately, they’ll have the support of nearly 250,000 APA members rooting them on back home!
“We’re thrilled to be the Official Sponsor of Team USA once again. The Mosconi Cup is the most exciting professional pool tournament in the world, and our members would like nothing more than to see Team USA bring the Cup back to the USA,” said APA Marketing Director Jason Bowman.
APA will be bringing exclusive event coverage to our members and social media followers leading up to this year’s Mosconi Cup, as well as live coverage direct from London.
In addition to the event coverage, Team USA members will also be sporting the APA logo on their jerseys throughout the 4-day event.
Members of this year’s team will be announced next week.
The Mosconi Cup is an annual 9-Ball pool tournament between teams from Europe and the USA which began in 1994. The trophy is named after American pro player Willie Mosconi. The event has often been tabbed as pro pool’s version of the Ryder Cup in golf. As of 2017, USA and Europe hold a 12-11 advantage in Cups won with the teams playing to a tie in 2006.
This year’s event will be held in London at Alexandra Palace Dec. 4 – 7. Tickets can be purchased at mosconicup.com.
