The APA of San Antonio recently wrapped up their 2012 Light The Night Campaign with a busy October schedule.  On October 13th, there was an 8-ball Scotch Doubles tournament with 19 teams competing.  The day’s activities also included a raffle with prizes ranging from movie tickets to passes to Sea World.  Between the entry fees, raffles and league team donations, $1200 was raised.  The team then participated in the walk on October 20th at Hemisfair Park where the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society raised over $1 Million to support research in finding cures for blood cancer.  Finally, an Adult-Child Scotch Doubles tournament was held on October 27th with 12 teams competing which brought in another $323.  Overall this year, the team raised over $6000, exceeding last year’s amount of $5270.
