Margaret McKnight of E. Tawakoni, Texas, has been an active APA player in Northeast Dallas APA for many years. Margaret played in the Ladies League as well as 8-Ball and 9-Ball with her sons, Brian Esner and Richard McKnight. Margaret attended the 2011 APA National Team Championships in the 9-Ball Division and was scheduled to return in 2012. Margaret’s most recent achievement was Top Gun for the Fall 2011 Session in the Green Tier; her plaque was awarded to her during her funeral services. Margaret also competed for several years in the Singles program. She loved pool and played as often as she could. Margaret was most known for her fierce loyalty and love. She was very devoted to her children and those she spent time with. This earned her the nickname of “Mom” not just by her children but by all of those who had the pleasure of knowing her. Her teams have decided to keep Margaret on their rosters for the remainder of the Spring 2012 sessions, in memorandum. Her funeral was conducted by her nephew who made many comments about the joy that pool brought into her life. She was a shining star that will be forever missed in Northeast Dallas APA. She passed away on Feb. 11, 2012.
