The finals of the Ladies 8-Ball Championship pitted Apocalypsticks of Chicago, Ill., against Femmes Fatales of Commack, N.Y.
The first match paired Apocalysticks’ Silva McDermott (SL5) against Femmes Fatales’ Michelle Pacheco (SL4). Apocalypsticks started out strong with McDermott winning 3-0.
In the second match, Apocalypsticks put up Courtney Glascoe (SL5), while Femmes Fatales threw Alexis Zilletto (SL4). In a back and forth battle, Zilletto came out winning 3-2, pushing the Championship into a third match.
For the third match Apocalypsticks’ put up Crystal Banks (SL3) and Femmes Fatales played Caroline Casagrande (SL5). Banks needed to win two matches to Casagrande’s four. The match did not disappoint and was fitting for a Championship title, taking it hill-hill. In the end, Banks was able to secure the title and $10,000 for the Apocolypsticks! Femmes Fatales took home $5,000 for their Runner-Up finish.
The Sportsmanship Award winner in the Ladies 8-Ball Championship was Magically Delicious of Broward County, Fla.
