James Blackburn of Reidsville, N.C., is the 2025 U.S. Amateur Champion, successfully defending his 2024 title. Blackburn defeated Dean Macnaughton of Barrie, Ontario, in an exciting final, 11-8. Macnaughton finished as Runner-Up.
Macnaughton punched his card to the final after defeating Roger Hebert of Spring Hill, Fla., in the hot seat match. Hebert then went on to meet Blackburn in the semifinal, where Blackburn ultimately advanced to the final. Hebert finished in 3rd Place.
Lance Ireland of Jasper, Ala., finished in 4th Place. Jason Jones of Enterprise, Ala., and Stuart Fox of Gainesville, Fla., tied for 5th Place.
The U.S. Amateur Championship was held Nov. 14-16 at the Westgate Las Vegas. A total of 123 players competed in this year’s event.
