The finals of the 8-Ball Doubles Championship on Thursday, April 28 paired Bank Shot Flyers – Roland Newkirk (SL6) and Jeremy Brown (SL4)– of Odenton, Md., against Pete and Repeat – Trey Funderburg (SL6) and Jim Mullins (SL4) – of Monroe, La. The race was 4-4.
Pete and Repeat started out strong, immediately capturing a 3-0 lead. But, Bank Shot Flyers weren’t going home without a fight, coming back to win the next game. It was Pete and Repeat’s night though, as they’d capture the next game to win the Championship title.
Pete and Repeat took home $5,000 for their win, while Bank Shot Flyers earned $3,000 as Runners-Up.
