Four young poolplayers returned home from Davenport, Iowa, with ultimate bragging rights after being crowned champions in this year’s APA Junior Championships. Nearly 300 kids made their way to Sharky’s Billiards for this year’s competition.
Green Tier (Skill Levels 1-2)
In the Green Tier (Skill Levels 1-2), Kaleb Frazier of Jackson, Miss., defeated Madison Glenn of Lawton, Okla., in the final round. The Green Tier featured 121 participants.Red Tier (Skill Level 3)
In the Red Tier (Skill Level 3), Kyle Dodd of Cape Girardeau, Mo., defeated Treyton Weber of Mitchellville, Iowa, in the final round. The Red Tier featured 82 participants.White Tier (Skill Levels 4-5)
In the White Tier (Skill Levels 4-5), Hayden Hill of Cordova, Ill., defeated Hayden Sheeler of Ankeny, Iowa, in the final round. The White Tier featured 58 participants.Black Tier (Skill Levels 6-9)
In the Black Tier (Skill Levels 6-9), Mathew Franzke of Melbourne, Fla., defeated Chase Stumfoll of Independence, Mo., in the final round. The Black Tier featured 31 participants.The champion in each tier took home a Samsung tablet, while the Runners-Up received JBL bluetooth speakers.
Twenty-four states and one Canadian province were represented in this year’s Junior Championships.
