The finals of the 8-Ball Doubles Championship on Saturday, April 28 paired Center Pocket Equalizers – Aaron James (SL5) and Ronald Johnson (SL5) – of Bowie, Md., against Cheer for Beer – Hung Ho (SL6) and Toan Quach (SL5) – of Palm Desert, Calif. The race was 3-4.
After an exciting match, it was Cheer for Beer sinking the final 8-ball for the title.
Cheer for Beer took home $5,000 for their win, while Center Pocket Equalizers earned $3,000 as Runners-Up.
OMG We Did It – Michael Carey and Kathy Melton – of Georgia, were the Sportsmanship Award winners.
