Many communities were left in ruin last week as Hurricane Helene carved a path of destruction across the southeast United States. With rescue and relief efforts still underway, APA is stepping up to help those communities impacted.
APA has made a sizable donation to both the American Red Cross https://www.redcross.org/ and Samaritan’s Purse https://www.samaritanspurse.org/.
“Our hearts go out to those severely impacted by Hurricane Helene. Many of our APA members and APA communities have been devastated by this hurricane. APA is a family and we wanted to do what we can to help those in need as best we can,” said APA Greg Fletcher.
Both the Red Cross and Samaritan’s Purse are on the ground in areas heavily impacted by Hurricane Helene.
In addition, several local APA League Operators and members are helping areas impacted by the hurricane by setting up drop-off points for donations that include food, water and other essential items. In some cases, APA League Operators are transporting these items directly to areas hardest hit.
If you are able to provide any assistance to those within your APA League, or your within your local community, we strongly encourage you to do so, as our thoughts and prayers are with all of those impacted by Hurricane Helene.
