APA is excited to announce that we’ve officially started Leagues in Singapore! Singapore is the fourth country to be added to APA’s global brand, with Leagues already taking place in the U.S., Canada and Japan. Singapore is a sovereign island country and city-state in maritime Southeast Asia.
League play began in Singapore in July. Twenty-eight teams are currently playing with more teams forming now!
APA of Singapore is run by former APA member Eddie Rivera. Eddie played originally in the Greater Seattle APA. He worked for Microsoft and started playing in the League with fellow Microsoft employees. That team qualified for Vegas and he was hooked! From there he knew he’d eventually become a League Operator one day; he just didn’t know where.
“Singapore is the perfect location for APA as there are no other leagues like it in the country and pool is at the highest point it’s ever been,” Rivera said. “I moved to Singapore three years ago and am excited to get back into playing pool and creating friendships through a growing pool community.”
APA of Singapore hopes to send teams to Vegas for the APA World Pool Championships as soon as 2023.
