Carlton B. Lewis, Jr. of Middlesex, N.C., played in the APA for several years before passing away on Jan. 8, 2006. His team won a trip to Vegas for the National Team Championships in 2001 and 2005. The 2005 Championships were his last; he was determined to go while struggling with cancer. His parents and friends admire his strength and determination, as well as his knowledge of pool. In addition to leading his team to Vegas, he helped many with his patience and knowledge of the game.
