The Central Illinois APA held the Inaugural Shoot for a Cure 9-Ball tournament on June 29, 2013 at Biggens Bar & Billiards in Decatur, Ill. Twenty-eight doubles teams participated with $4,450 being raised for the Relay for Life American Cancer Society!
First place was awarded to Amanda Russell and Jeremy Church. Taking 2nd Place was Kristy Edenburn and Shawn Ware and 3rd Place went to Sue Koshinski and Tina Scott.
This tournament was near and dear to Central APA League Operator Kim Jones, as her sister, Delta Dawn, was diagnosed with the disease in 2010. Today she is in remission and paying it forward by supporting Relay for Life.
