Gregory Dix of Myrtle Beach, S.C., and James Adams of Brooksville, Fla., have tied for 5th Place in this year’s U.S. Amateur Championship.
Dix was defeated 7-2 by David Rowell Sunday afternoon. Dix was competing in his first U.S. Amateur Championships competition and was the highest finishing first-time participant this year.
Adams was defeated 7-5 by Eric Tang. This year’s event marked Adams highest finish at the U.S. Amateur Championship after he finishing 17th last year.
