Government Resources Now Available to APA Host Locations
APA is a unique family of members, League Operators, staff and, of course, our valued Host Location partners, and we are determined to do whatever we can to help our family during this crisis.
#InItTogether #APAStrong
When we say #InItTogether we mean it, and with that in mind, we wanted to make sure that our Host Location owners and managers are aware of new resources that they can use to get them through this difficult time.
More assistance is available to businesses like yours than ever before. Do not assume that you do not qualify for this assistance.
You’ve worked hard to provide a place where your customers feel comfortable and can have fun. Your Host Location is worth fighting for. You owe it to yourself, your staff and your customers to do everything you can to survive this difficult time.
All of these new programs are designed to ensure that businesses like yours will be up and running when it’s time to get back to business.
Please use the links below on this page to learn about the types of assistance that may be available to you.

For Businesses Like Yours
The National Restaurant Association
The National Restaurant Association has a COVID-19 information page that is full of guidance and resources for restaurants. You can access it at https://restaurant.org/Covid19#info
Much of this information is also applicable to bars and pool halls that don’t serve food.
Click on the word “Resources” at the top of that page. The second gray box is titled U.S Treasury Dept. and SBA Resources.
The National Restaurant Association
The International Franchise Association makes many resources available to help franchised businesses make sense of federal assistance. Many of those franchised businesses are in the restaurant and bar industry, so those resources may be beneficial to franchises and non-franchised restaurant businesses alike. The federal government has made an unprecedented amount of money available to businesses like the bars, restaurants, taverns and pool halls that serve as APA Host Locations.
All small businesses should be learning about these resources and applying to get their share.
For example, here is information on the Small Business Administration’s loans and resources

Finally, if you own your Host Location, but have had to shut it down, do not assume you are not eligible for unemployment benefits. With the CARES Act, self-employed people are now eligible for unemployment benefits. The agency that handles unemployment claims in your state is just a google search away. Contact them to see if you are eligible for benefits.
