Updated: 7/29/21 (11:00 am CT) – The state of Nevada, in accordance with updated Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Guidance (CDC), has reinstated a mandatory mask requirement for counties with substantial or high transmission rates of Covid-19.  Clark County, where Las Vegas is located, is one of 12 counties in Nevada currently with substantial or high transmission rates.

The new mask requirement includes both vaccinated and unvaccinated individuals, with all individuals required to wear a mask in indoor public settings.

The new mask requirement takes effect at 12:01 am on Friday, July 30, 2021, and will be in effect until further notice.  We do not anticipate this policy will change prior to the completion of the APA Poolplayer Championships on Aug. 14, 2021.

Attendees must wear a mask while in indoor public settings.  Mask may be temporarily removed under the following circumstances:

-A participant or attendee is actively eating or drinking
-A participant is at the table shooting (must mask up following their turn at the table)
-A participant is asked to verify their identity by showing their face and their driver’s license

Masks may be difficult to secure in Las Vegas. All event attendees and guests should bring their own masks to Las Vegas to comply with the new mask requirements.

Note: All attendees traveling to Las Vegas via commercial air travel are already required to wear a mask in the airport and on the plane.

Failure to comply with Nevada’s mask mandate may result in an attendee being asked to leave the APA Tournament area and/or the Westgate Las Vegas property. APA and the Westgate sincerely appreciate your cooperation in helping us conduct our largest event since the Covid-19 pandemic began as safely as possible.

We hope you’re as excited as we are to finally return to Las Vegas, and we look forward to seeing you there!
