The Mississippi Gulf Coast APA hosted a charity pool tournament on Saturday, Feb. 20 at In Time Out in Ocean Springs, Miss., to benefit the Jackson County CASA, Inc. (the National Court Appointed Special Advocate Association). Together with its state and local member programs, CASA supports and promotes court-appointed volunteer advocacy so every abused or neglected child in the United States can be safe, have a permanent home and the opportunity to thrive.

“Taking care of our children is a community effort. Every child deserves to be safe and have an environment in which they can thrive,” said Susan Church, MS Gulf Coast APA League Operator. “Support through events like this makes the effort fun for us all. Making a lifelong difference for a child is what we do.”

Taking 1st place in the tournament was APA member Bobby Blake, while Tom Snowberger placed 2nd.

Through 50/50 split the pot raffles, tournament registration fees and a raffle, they donated $247 to the charity!
