The U.S. Amateur Championship is on the move in 2025.  This year’s event will be held in Las Vegas at the Westgate Las Vegas in November.  This will mark the first time the U.S. Amateur Championship has been held in Las Vegas since 1999 when it was held in a local poolroom.

The Women’s Division of the U.S. Amateur Championship will be held Nov. 14-15 with the Open Division taking place Nov. 14-16.

“In 2023, the event transitioned out of the pool room and into dedicated convention spaces to accommodate its growing needs. While this brought new opportunities, it also presented challenges in logistics and venue fit.  Our partners at the Westgate understand the unique needs of our events, and we’re confident this venue will enhance the player and spectator experience,” said Bill Tufts, Director of Tournament Productions.

“This is also the first time the U.S. Amateur Championship won’t be held on the East Coast since 1999. We’re excited to see if this change sparks greater interest from players across the western U.S.,” Tufts added.

The entry window for this year’s U.S. Amateur Championship will open January 15.

Preliminary Rounds will be held Sept. 12-14 and Sept. 19-21 with the top finishers advancing to the Championship Rounds in Las Vegas.
