APA of San Antonio added $545 to their total amount raised for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society by hosting an Adult/Child Scotch Doubles Tournament. This brings the total raised to nearly $1,800. Their goal is to surpass the $5,000 they raised last year.
The tournament was held July 28 at Fast Eddies-Babcock, with 23 teams competing. One member of each team was required to be between the ages of 10 and 17. Mickey & Noah Woinicki took 1st place, edging out 2nd Place finishers Rene & Katelynn Gomez. John & Austin Hartmangruber rounded out the top 3. Each participating child was given a Relentless bracelet from the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
More events are scheduled until the Leukemia & Lymphomas Light The Night Walk in late October. Check out sanantonio.apaleagues.com for more information on dates and locations. Visit leukemia-lymphoma.org for information on the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
