On Sunday, Jan. 17, 2016, the Mississippi Gulf Coast APA held a charity tournament to benefit Put Bulls & Parolees. A total of 30 people participated in the tournament, along with many others who came out to show their support. They raised $600!
“It’s so amazing to see such an outpouring of support from the poolplayers and residents of the community,” said Susan Church, MS Gulf Coast APA League Operator.
Chris and Jessica Terrell, Host Location owners of Just 1 More (also APA players), hosted and helped run the tournament. APA member Bobby Merrill also donated his time to help make the event a success. Split the pot drawings and raffles were held and many players donated hats, shirts, cue balls and pool cues.
“Our pets are some of our greatest treasures and best friends. Supporting a charity like Pit Bulls & Parolees expresses our best and caring emotions. Our League has supported two animal service/shelter organizations thus far and have future plans to add additional opportunities,” said Church.
