Ray Bailey of Castro Valley, Calif., plays in the East Bay APA operated by Gwenn & Levent Ertoz. He began playing in 2011 and has been instrumental in supporting League growth since the Ertoz’s took over the area in 2013. Ray was brought in by another APA player and liked the League so much he split off the next session and formed his own team.

Ray has recruited more than 50 people to the League, including all of his own family! He really has helped foster a feeling of family in the area. He plays several nights a week on several teams. He’s competed in the Southwest Challenge, doubles events, Jack & Jill Doubles Championship and Local Team Championships—earning many 1st Place finishes locally.  Ray is currently a skill level 5 in both 8-Ball and 9-Ball.

“Ray goes above and beyond to exemplify good sportsmanship,” Gwenn said. “He’s always there to help, lend an ear, a hand, a pencil. He truly loves the game and wants everyone to have a great time.”

Gwenn recently presented Ray with his 500 match pass! He can often be seen around Vegas sporting all of his APA patches, rooting on players and spending time with Tom “Dr. Cue” Rossman!

Keep it up Ray, we’re so happy to have you in the League and can’t wait to see what’s next for you!
