The St. Louis APA hosted the 6th Annual Kathy Kirner 8-Ball Jack & Jill Doubles Tournament on Friday, Oct. 30, 2015. The event was held at The Cue in Maplewood, Mo., with net proceeds going to the American Cancer Society.

Several players came dressed in costumes, as the tournament theme once again this year was Halloween. The tournament was run by APA member Les Simmons and The Cue’s owner Jeremy Mealey. Many friends and family of Kathy Kirner showed up to support the cause.

Entrants were coed doubles teams, with 32 teams competing. Kathy Kirner’s surviving husband, Dan Kirner, and his partner, Jen Baca, won the tournament. Tihomir Velkov and Keiko Ishioka placed 2nd.

Silent auction items were donated by billiards celebrities Mark Wilson, Allison Fisher and Jeanette Lee, as well as local businesses, the APA and friends. Between the silent auction, donations, and money raised from tournament entry fees, a total of $2,147 was donated to the American Cancer Society!
