On Saturday, Jan. 23, 2016, the Western Reserve APA held a pool tournament at Hideaway Bar & Grill in Windham, Ohio, to benefit the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. The tournament was a race to five wins—alternating racks of fast-break 8-Ball and 9-Ball—consisting of 3-person teams with a skill level limit of 15. A total of 25 teams competed!
Taking home 1st Place was the team of Mike Root, Marcus Graves and Aaron McDole, while John Morton, Shawna Piar and Flo Stalker finished in 2nd Place. Money was raised through tournament entry fees, a 50/50 raffle and silent auction. At the end of the day, $1,500 was donated to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation!
“Everyone in attendance had a fun and enjoyable experience and we look forward to next year’s event!” Brian Mosko, Western Reserve APA League Operator said. “The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation is a charity near and dear to our League and we’re so glad we can help contribute to such a great cause.”
