It’s been 9 long years since Team USA last hoisted the Mosconi Cup in victory. This year, as they try to reverse that trend in Las Vegas, they’ll do so not only with a star-studded line-up, but also with the support of the APA.
APA will be bringing its members and social media followers exclusive behind-the-scenes coverage of this year’s Mosconi Cup.
““The Mosconi Cup is the most exciting professional pool tournament in the world, and we’re thrilled to be the Official Sponsor of Team USA. We look forward to bringing people a side of the Mosconi Cup they have most likely never seen,” said APA Marketing Director Jason Bowman.
In addition to the behind-the-scenes coverage, Team USA members will also be sporting the APA logo on their jerseys throughout the 4-day event.
This year’s team includes: Dennis Hatch, Oscar Domingez, Billy Thorpe, Skylar Woodward and Shane Van Boening.
The Mosconi Cup is an annual 9-Ball pool tournament between teams from Europe and the USA which began in 1994. The trophy is named after American pro player Willie Mosconi. The event has often been tabbed as pro pool’s version of the Ryder Cup in golf. As of 2016, USA and Europe have each won the tournament 11 times and tied once.
This year’s event will be held in Las Vegas at Mandalay Bay Dec. 4 – 7. Tickets can be purchased at www.mosconicup.com.
