Golden Cue Billiards in Albany, NY hosted the 2012 APA of Greater Albany Holiday 8-Ball Tournament on December 8. Over 40 players came out to donate, enjoy the holiday festivities, and play in a modified single elimination 8-Ball tournament. The event raised $885 for the Samaritan Shelters for troubled teens.
The field consisted of APA members with various skill levels competing for cash and awards. APA of Greater Albany added $300 to the event and divided it out amongst the top 8 finishers. The final match between Tom Acciavatti (skill level 7) and Clark Seguine (skill level 4) featured some great play. Clark lost early in the tournament and had to climb his way back to the winners side. Tom edged out Clark 4-1 in the finals.
