At 78 years old, Angelo D’Elia of Crestview, Fla., still plays pool twice a week in the Bluewater APA and serves as Team Captain! His teammates and family say he makes the team fun and competitive.

Angelo has an infectious smile that commands a smile back. He’s always willing to help out the League or his fellow poolplayers. A transplant from New York, Angelo moved to Crestview to be close to his family. Before moving to Florida, Angelo played in the Hudson Valley APA. He quickly joined the Bluewater APA in January 2016, creating a team with his son, daughters and son-in-laws. He’s been a staple in the Bluewater APA family ever since.

“It’s been such a pleasure to have Angelo in our League!” Bluewater APA League Operator Jim Rowe said. “He’s always willing to help out and is such a joy to everyone who comes in contact with him.”

Angelo hopes to make it to Vegas for the Poolplayer Championships in 2017 as he’s currently qualified for both the 8-Ball and 9-Ball Spring Singles Regionals!

“Say hi to Angelo when you see him in Vegas. He’ll be the one smiling,” Rowe said.
